The rule is always knit through the leading loop regardless of what style or pattern or shape you’re knitting. In combination knitting, the leading leg is in the front if the stitch was a knit when you made it, and in the back if it was a purl when you made it, where western knitters always find it in front of the needle (and therefore are generally unaware of the fact that it’s because it’s the leading leg that makes it not twist rather than the happenstance of it being in front.)
The difference is that if you learned rules based on whether you were knitting or purling and whether you’re making stockinette or garter, you will have to either learn new rules - because stockinette in the round is entirely knit stitches and therefore the rules you learned for flat which assumed that if you were knitting the last row was a purl will be wrong - or start deciding where to knit by looking/feeling the stitch or by thinking about whether it was a knit or a purl.
By the way, universal decreases:
what’s written k2tog = make sure the leading leg is in front for the next two stitches and knit them together.
what’s written ssk = make sure the leading leg is in the back for the next two stitches and knit them together.
<a class="marked" onclick="R.forums.vote(1281667, 'educational', false); Good ones to remember

1. Through lower east side, to the Tenemant Musueum.
2. around the corner from tenement museum is a Chinatown restaurant called Congee Village that's a good one
3. Walked through Chinatown and hit the Chinatown Ice Cream Factory (flavors like ginger, and durian)
4. Grand Central Terminal - the atrium is pretty and always fun to show people the one black spot where they did not renovate for comparison on the ceiling and also took them to the Grand Central transit museum store, market and the Whisper Gallery.

Yesterday we went to
1. It was foofy (i.e. lots of incredibly interesting flavors served in itty-bitty-fancy-schmancily plated courses).

It's a 4-start (0nly one by the NY Times). Jean-Georges has received the James Beard award for Best Chef and Best New Restaurant, and Esquire Magazine voted Chef Vongerichten the Chef of the Year in 1997. They only did 2 shows.

From the duo that unleashed Spamalot on the world - Eric Idle and John Du Prez - comes NOT THE MESSIAH (He's a Very Naughty Boy), a comic oratorio inspired by Monty Python's Life of Brian. Accdording to Eric Idle, "As the Messiah was to the Bible, so Not the Messiah is to Life of Brian. It is shorter than Handel, funnier than Handel, but obviously not as good theologically."

Mark my words - they turn into a Broadway production of sorts. Tickets go for $200 each. Either way, I "took" an extra program as this rare showing's Playbill may be worth something in 50 years when I'm too old or senile to remember why I took it or who Eric Idle is or what Monthy Paython was.

In preparation I re-re-re-re-watched "Life of Brian". it has been a long time since I had seen it and forgot how funny a few parts were - what did the Romans ever do? in particular.

In a city of 1000s of restaurants

Whilst looking for a restaurant, I saw one with this review.

"The staff however is another story. Sperm or no sperm....I'm probably just as likely. I share just the high(low)lights of the article. The claim by Prince Frederic von Anhalt on Friday comes amid a paternity suit over Smith's 5-month-old daughter, Dannielynn.

He said the two started an affair soon after. For much of that time, he said, Smith urged him to make her a princess like his wife. But short of divorcing the actress, he said the only solution would have been adopting Smith. Von Anhalt said he did consider that and even filled out adoption papers, but Gabor refused to sign them.

He said he never admitted the affair to his wife, but that he is sure she knows. She would sometimes answer the phone when Smith called him, von Anhalt said. "She was a very sexy woman," von Anhalt said.
